Generator for email number scale buttons - Dynamic surveys - Zendesk

With this tool you can generate code which embed number scale buttons for your Zendesk email. Fill the fields and in the end you will get the link and code which you need to put to Zendesk.

Zendesk dynamic content name

1. Create new Dynamic Content in Zendesk. From the left menu, select "Admin" (Gear icon) and then under title "Manage" select "Dynamic Content".

2. Click "add item" and give some good name. Use only small letters and don't use empty space or special characters.

3. Leave it open, you will add content later.

4. Write the name of new dynamic content to below field.

Integration link for the survey

You can find the integration link from Surveypal. Go to Manage view and open Integrations. Click Zendesk "Configure" button or if you already have mappings there, click "Edit". Copy and paste here the link from text box which is under title "Survey address for Zendesk".

Element code

Add here the element code of the number scale question where you want to push the answer from email. Element code is in "p0e1" format where number after 'p' is the page number of the question and number after 'e' is the question's index number on the page.

Calculate on which page and which number the number scale question is, starting from 0. All added content and question elements need to be included (e.g. image and text elements). This article will help you to understand element code.

After response

Select what you want to happen after respondent press the button in the email and browser will open the survey.

If your follow-up questions are on the first page choose "Stay", if they are on different pages choose "Next page"

Survey language

If you want to open a specific language version of the survey straight away for the user, type in the exact name of the language version in your survey. For example English, Suomi, Svenska, Deutsch.

Logo image

You can add logo or other image to top of the email. Add image address here. You can copy image address from internet when you click image with your mouse second button and select "Copy image address".

Width of logo image

Image pixel width, for example 100

Message text

Write here your email message and the question for number scale.

You can use HTML codes. <br> will add line break. Text between tags <strong></strong> will be bolded.

Message after buttons

If you want to include a greeting or instructions at the end of the message, write it here.

Click "Generate" and you can find your code under "Ready code"

You can edit your setting and press "Generate" again so you will see changes under Preview.
